North West Academies Trust is opening a new school in Nantwich, Cheshire, the first new school to open in the town in 23 years, Nantwich News has reported.
North West Academies Trust is a multi-academy trust consisting of 14 primary and secondary schools across Cheshire and Shropshire.
Kingsbourne Academy is a new primary school and Sally Burns has been appointed as the first head of school, bringing more than 16 years of experience in primary education.
A school spokesperson said: “We are delighted to share that we have successfully signed off our school and collected the keys.
“What an exciting moment as we take another step towards opening our doors and beginning this incredible journey.
“We are now busy preparing everything ready to welcome our founding children — the very first pupils who will write the first chapter of our school’s story.
“We cannot wait to see our school come to life with the laughter, learning and adventures of our children.
“The keys are in our hands – and the next chapter begins.”
The school spokesperson added: “As our brand new school continues to grow, we’re looking for a passionate, engaging and kind individual to join our team and help lead our new after school club.
