Fire damages three school classrooms
A fire damaged three classrooms at Thomas Bullock Primary Academy in Shipdham, Norfolk on Thursday, the BBC has reported.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust school.
During the blaze, 10 fire crews, a water carrier and an aerial platform attended the scene.
Oliver Burwood, chief executive of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust, said: "An initial investigation has confirmed that the fire was accidental and related to the extreme hot weather."
“The entire trust is truly thankful that the fire did not result in any injury.
"Our priority now is planning for a return to school for all Thomas Bullock children in September."
On social media, the school said: "A huge 'Thank You' to our community far and wide for your thoughts and prayers and of course the fire teams for acting so quickly.
"We are exploring options for temporary accommodation for classrooms onsite and will keep you all updated moving forward."
